Who will own my data once I submit it?

Why do you need my information?

Your data (Title, first name, last name, job title, name of employer/organisation, email address, payment details) will be collected for the purpose of:

  • Communication of update and information on the Europneumo Liverpool conference via email
  • Inclusion into a list of delegates to be shared with all other attendants for the purpose of facilitating networking and exchange of ideas
  • Inclusion of your personal data into the Europneumo Liverpool brochure.

What allows you to use my information?

You hereby consent to this use of your personal data as described above. You agree to the use of your personal data or other personal data you have provided to us for the above purposes. If we wish to use your personal data or other personal data you have provided to us for new or different purposes, other than for which it was originally supplied, we will request your written permission first. Your consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting a member of the Europneumo Organising Committee.

Who will my information be shared with?

We will not disclose your personal data or any other personal data provided by you to us to any third party. We do not collect additional information about you from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organisations. We will ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to other organisations, institutions and authorities unless required by law.

Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don’t?

We collect your personal data for the purpose of providing the services described above, in relation to which you have registered your interest. Failure to provide these data would impede attendance at the Europneumo Liverpool conference.

How long will you keep this data for and why?

As per the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), any personal data must not be kept any longer than it is necessary for the purpose for which the personal data is processed. We will aim to retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes of the processing explained above, and any secondary purposes such as audit, regulatory and legal record-keeping requirements. You hereby consent to this use of your personal data as described above. Your consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting the Europneumo Liverpool Organising Committee.

How will my information be stored?

Your personal data will be stored on a password protected, automatically backed up shared ‘M drive’ – a managed service, central drive at the University. This ensures that data will be held securely and minimise the risk of data loss or unauthorized usage.

Will this information be used to take automated decisions about me?

No.

Will my data be transferred abroad and why?

Your personal data will not be stored abroad.

What rights do I have when it comes to my data?

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you may have the following rights with regards to your personal data:

  • The Right to subject access – you have the right to see a copy of the personal data that the University holds about you and find out what it is used for
  • The Right to rectification – you have the right to ask the University to correct or remove any inaccurate data that we hold about you
  • The Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) you have the right to ask the University to remove data that we hold about you
  • The Right to restriction – you have the right to ask for your information to be restricted (locked down) on University systems
  • The Right to data portability – you have the right to ask for your data to be transferred back to you or to a new provider at your request
  • The Right to object – you have the right to ask the University to stop using your personal data or to stop sending you marketing information, or complain about how your data is used
  • The Right to prevent automated decision making – you have the right to ask the University to stop using your data to make automated decisions about you or to stop profiling your behaviour (where applicable).
