Dr Alan Southern

Honorary Fellow

Biography

Alan is a social economy researcher with a particular interest in enterprise in low income communities, community assets, and how we can democratise economic decision-making. In his work he argues for greater levels of collectivity in the economy and a wider recognition of social organisations, the value of the public sector working alongside an ethical private sector.

This work involves a broader network of practitioners and academic colleagues in Liverpool City Region and beyond.
