Create a calendar file

Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.

Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".

Google Calendar: download the file, then go into your calendar. On the left where it says "Other calendars" click on the arrow icon and then click on Import calendar. Click on Browse and select the .ics file, then click on Import.

Apple Calendar: The file may open automatically with an option to save it to your calendar. If not, download the file, then you can either drag it to Calendar or import the file by going to File >Import > Import and choosing the .ics file.

We’re delighted to announce the next speaker in our Liverpool Leaders series will be Paul Broadhurst (BEng Hons Electronic Engineering 1981). Paul is currently Founder and CEO of telecommunications giant Technetix.

Paul is a passionate entrepreneur with an eye for value, growth and innovation. Paul led Technetix through its growth on the roll out of broadband cable networks and helped the company to firmly establish itself at the centre of residential broadband technology innovation. Technetix, with twenty offices worldwide, operates all across Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific. Technetix, with exports of greater than 80% of its revenue, has expanded both organically and by international acquisitions with  over the last fifteen years. The company has forecast revenue of £130m in 2023 exporting to 70 countries. 

Before founding Technetix, Paul had positions at management consultants PA Consulting, Continental Microwave and EMI Central Research Labs. Paul has a BEng degree in Electronic Engineering and an MSc in Microwave and Optical Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (USA) and a Fellow of the SCTE.
