Sino-UK Workshop on Biomass Conversion and Utilisation

10th Dec - 11th Dec 2021

Professor Xin Tu and Professor Hanping Chen at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China) organised a Sino-UK Workshop on Biomass Conversion and Utilisation from 10th Dec to 11th Dec 2021.

The workshop was jointly funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and British Council.

This Newton Fund UK-China Researchers Links workshop was organised in a hybrid mode with most UK participants attending the workshop in person.

The workshop brought together ECRs and senior scientists from both countries to discuss the challenges, scientific innovations and technological advances in the conversion and utilisation of biomass.

A panel discussion was organised to discuss international collaborations, post-workshop activities and career development for ECRs.

It was a great success, with around 200 participants attending the workshop.
