Liverpool PhD candidate wins Outstanding Student Poster Award at AGU 2021

Izzy Ashman, a final year PhD candidate in our Department's Rock Deformation Laboratory, has been awarded an Outstanding Student Presentation Award (OSPA) for her presentation with supervisor Dan Faulkner at the 2021 annual conference of the American Geophysical Union. Her talk titled "The Influence of Clay Content on Dilation and Friction of Fault Gouges with Increasing Slip Velocity" earned Izzy an OSPA in the Rock and Mineral Physics section.
