M: drive

As soon as you activate your University computing account you are allocated your own area of file storage, known as your M: drive.

Your M: drive is 20GB of individual file space which is secure and fully backed up. This service provides an alternative to your University OneDrive for Business file space. The M: drive storage is located on campus rather than the files being stored in the cloud, which can be a specific consideration for research or security reasons.

Your M: drive can be accessed both on and off-campus. When off-campus, it can be accessed using the Windows Explorer app on Apps Anywhere; or you can map your M: drive. When you are on campus, just click This PC on the desktop to see your computer drives, including your M: drive.

You can share files on your M: drive with other members of the University.
