“You do belong here”: Ellie on making careers support more inclusive, practical and human
Ellie’s job title is Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Project Officer for Careers and Employability, looking after the University’s Equality Plus programme. But as she says herself, the official title only tells part of the story. “In reality, it’s not just looking after the inclusion programme,” she says. “It’s also a lot of behind-the-scenes work, because I do believe that, in terms of making an inclusive and accessible service for students, we need to make sure our services are embedded with accessibility and inclusion.”
