Carla Molinari awarded British Academy/Accademia dei Lincei Fellowship

Carla Molinari, currently Visiting Scholar at CAVA, has been awarded a prestigious 2016 British Academy fellowship by the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei in Rome. Her research project, "Greenaway and Montage. The influence of Sergei M. Eisenstein in the work of Peter Greenaway" will take place in CAVA, University of Liverpool, under the supervision of Dr Marco IulianoThe project focuses on the compositive method used by Peter Greenaway to create sequences of images in different arts - cinema, video art and painting - analysed through Sergei M. Eisenstein's theories of montage. 

This very competitive fellowship is awarded yearly by the Accademia dei Lincei so as to spend several months in an UK research centre. The Accademia dei Lincei, based in Rome, is the oldest scientific academy in the world, founded in 1603 (http://www.lincei.it).
