Welcome from the International Advice and Guidance Team (IAG) to all of our new international students. Find out everything you need to know as a new international student at the University of Liverpool and what support the University can offer. We will be joined by colleagues from the Guild of Students and our Libraries Team. We will also be joined by the Regional Organised Crime Unit to discuss fraud prevention and online safety.

Come along to get some informal tips on how to improve your English Language skills alongside your study. We will be joined by colleagues in our English Language Centre (ELC) who will outline the support available including in-sessional English language classes, study skills support and our Language Lounge.

Presented jointly by IAG and the University Careers and Employability Service, this session will tell you everything you need to know about finding part-time work in the UK alongside your studies including what work you can and cannot whilst holding a Student Route visa.
'Liverpool on a Budget' - 10am, Thursday, 24th September 2026, Central Teachnig Hub, Lecture Theatre A
Want to know how to make your money go further? Come along to find out some money-saving tips and ideas on how to manage your money without reducing your experience of being in the UK. The session is run by IAG and there will be a chance to ask any questions on the best places to shop and to spend your money in Liverpool.
'Meet Your Student Ambassadors' - 10am, Friday, 25th September 2026, Venue TBC
Hosted by some of our University of Liverpool Student Ambassadors, this session will give you a chance to meet some of them as well as other new international students and share your experience of life in the UK so far. There will be opportunity to ask questions and get tips about life in Liverpool.
