How to Access University Support
There is a wide range of support available for students affected by sexual misconduct, harassment, sexual violence, bullying, hate crime, along with other concerns.
You can speak to someone in confidence on a wide range of personal and social issues, explore your options and access practical help.
University Support Services
We offer a range of support services for students who have experienced harassment or sexual misconduct. For those experiencing harassment or sexual misconduct the following services may be particularly relevant.

Wellbeing Advice and Guidance
The Wellbeing Practitioners can offer support to any student who has been affected by harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual violence, domestic violence, honour-based abuse and forced marriage. The team offer a confidential, nonjudgemental space that allow students to talk openly and empowers students to access relevant specialist support services if required. The team can also liaise with other areas of the University including the University Police Officer, Campus Support, Accommodation and schools.

Counselling Service
Trained Counsellors provide confidential counselling and support to students affected by a wide range of problems including harassment and sexual misconduct. They offer a safe and empathetic space to discuss experiences, emotions, and coping strategies. Students can access Single Session therapy or if there are more complex needs long-term therapy.
Other specialist advice services within Student Services include the Disability Advice and Guidance Team, the International Advice and Guidance Team and the Money Advice and Guidance Team. Campus Support
The team can support all students with any safety concerns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They also offer a Chaperone Service to ensure that any student feels safe on campus.

Safe Zone App
You can also contact Campus Support via the Safe Zone app. This is a free safety and wellbeing app that allows you to contact Campus Support Services for assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week when you’re on campus. It can be downloaded to your smartphone via the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store. Simply type SafeZone into the search facility. University Police Officer
The university has a dedicated police officer who works alongside our Campus Support team and can offer practical safety advice and support regarding any crime-related issues.

Guild Advice Centre
The Guild offers free and confidential advice to University of Liverpool students but are independent from the University. They offer support and non-judgemental advice to make informed decisions on a range of options including how to report and get support on sexual misconduct issues.
