Get Active Week: 9-15 October

The University is inviting all students and staff to take part in Get Active Week, a new programme of FREE sport and physical activity sessions, classes and events taking place next week, from 9-15 October.

As well as a fun sports and challenges, you can take part in tournaments, the very popular Campus 5K, classes and more.

Activities will be taking place across campus, including the Sports Centre, the Teepee on the Square, and Greenbank Sports Village.

This exciting initiative led by Sport Liverpool is a great way to get active, try something new and have fun. Take a look at what’s on:


  • Cycling Club Taster Spin Session - 12pm-1pm
  • Pilates in the TeePee on the Square - 12.30pm-1.30pm
  • Daily Challenge - Plank
  • Run For All - 6pm
  • Sports Hall Taster Sessions - 12pm-2pm
  • Yoga - 6-7pm


  • Bodyweight - 12.30pm-1.30pm
  • Wall Sit Challenge
  • Pilates – 5pm-6pm
  • Turn up & Play: Spikeball & Dodgeball - 6pm-8pm


  • Campus Run - 12-2pm
  • Rowing Challenge – 9am-1pm


  • Men’s Mental Health Football/Futsal Session - 12pm-1pm
  • Sport Taster session - 1pm-2pm
  • Step up Challenge
  • Tai Chi - 5.30pm-6.30pm
  • Turn up & Play: Pickleball & Futsal


  • Dance - 12pm-1pm
  • Self Defence - 5.30pm-6.30pm
  • Spin Bike Time Trial: 1km Challenge


  • Halls Sports Programme: Football Tournament at Greenbank Student Village 10-3pm


  • Women’s Rugby: Inner Warrior Camp – 11am-3pm at Greenbank Student Village
  • Halls Sports Programme: Volleyball Tournament – 2pm-4pm at the Sports Centre

Turn Up & Play

As well as the bookable events there are a number of turn up and play activities. These sessions are:

  • Tuesday: Spikeball, Dodgeball
  • Thursday: Pickleball, Men's Futsal, Women's Tough Rugby
  • Friday: Women's Futsal
