Janne Nunmela, Katariina Vuorinen, and Sigurdur Palsson

The Centre for New and International Writing continued to highlight the work of international poets with three Euoropean poets, Janne Nunmela and Katariina Vuorinen from Finland, and Sigurdur Palsson, from Iceland. Clips of each of their readings can be found below. 


Janne Nunmela

 

Janne Nunmela as published four books of poetry in his native Finland and, in collaboration with Tommi Nuopponen and Jukka Viikila, a poetic encyclopedia, which the Society for Possible Literature named the best prose work of 2011. 


Katariina Vuorinen

 

Katariina Vuorinen has published three poetry collections and featured in several anthologies. She currently teaches creative writing, and has been president of the Middle Finland Writer's Union since 2008. 


Sigurdur Palsson

 

Sigurdur Palsson is an Icelandic poet, playwright, novelist and translator. Algonside his multiple poetry collections, which have been translated into ten languages, he has published three acclaimed novels and a book of memoirs.
