Ailbhe Darcy and Eoghan Walls

Our visiting writers for May 2015 were the Irish poets, Aiblhe Darcy and Eoghan Walls. Each have one collection published, and read a mixture of poems from those collections and more recent work.


Ailbhe Darcy  

Ailbhe Darcy was born and raised in Dublin and now lives in South Bend, Indiana. As well as writing her own poetry, she co-edits the online magazine for new art and writing, Moloch. Her debut collection Imaginary Menagerie was published by Bloodaxe in 2011, and her writing can also be found in anthologies such as Identity Parade and Voice Recognition.


Eoghan Walls

 

Eoghan Walls was born in Derry, Northern Ireland. He won an Eric Gregory Award in 2006, and an Irish Art's Council Bursary in 2009. His work has been published broadly in anthologies and journals. The Salt Harvest, published with Seren Books in 2011, is his first full-length collection. It was shortlisted for the Short Award for Best First Collection in 2012.
