Success for BA Business Management students in experiential learning project

Final year Business Management students have gained valuable experience working on live business challenges.
Students taking a final year Business Simulation module, run in partnership with the Management School and Careers and Employability, included exciting real world challenges set by Cloud Jungle, Manchester Airport Group, Tutor Trust and IBM.
During this module, students gained experience working as part of a team, developing and running a simulated business operation online and responding to a live client brief. Groups were able to demonstrate their ability to implement strategic and operational plans and their relationship to performance outcomes to representatives from the companies involved.
Experiences like this link classroom theory to practice, enhance problem-solving skills, develop communication and leadership abilities and increase commercial awareness and decision making. Crucial skills for future managers.
CloudJungle tasked groups with developing a new social media strategy. Pitches from two of the groups impressed judges so much, they have been implemented into some promotional activity on the company’s LinkedIn page, crediting the students for their hard work and valuable contribution.
Director of Studies for Business Management Dr Philip Murray notes;
“It is wonderful to see student work being adopted in the world, and I am very proud of some exemplary work from final year BA Business Management students”
