The Management School hosted its second Help to Grow Management Alumni Network event on Wednesday 18 January at Greenbank.

Dr Zeineb Djebali, Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship for the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship, delivered an engaging workshop entitled “Entrepreneurial Skills for Growth Action Plans” during which the participants discussed the main barriers and challenges to business growth, entrepreneurship to foster business growth and also entrepreneurship in practice.

This is just one of a series of Help to Grow Alumni Network events that will take place over the course of the academic year and the aim is to continue supporting SME leaders in reaching their long-term productivity, resilience, growth and innovation goals beyond completion of the Help to Grow Management programme. The alumni network will also help support participants in implementing their Growth Action Plans, ongoing learning and business development opportunities.

Leon McCowan, (Director, Your Business Mobile) said “It was great to network with the other growth focused business owners and share thoughts and ideas on how we can enable growth. The speaker was excellent and I’m really looking forward to the next event.”

Accredited by the Small Business Charter, the 12-week practical programme for SME leaders covers all aspects of management, including finance and strategies for growth and innovation. Participants benefit from 1-1 mentorship and finish the course with a tailored business growth plan, as well as access to an extensive alumni programme and network.
