Growth Catalyst programme helps launch new business venture

A local business owner from the Growth Catalyst programme has recently launched an exciting new venture.

Matt Webster, Director of Seasoned Pioneers, completed the Management School’s Growth Catalyst programme in 2016.   Growth Catalyst is a leadership development programme which draws on the Management School’s expertise and research and is specifically for small businesses within the Liverpool City Region.  It provides personal and business growth by incorporating a two-day retreat, masterclasses, coaching, action learning and a business exchange.

Matt decided to enrol on the Growth Catalyst programme as although his business was successful and profitable, he was struggling to make decisions about how to grow and diversify.  He felt that the programme would give him thinking time away from the business and would help him to strategically plan for its future.

Speaking about the course Matt said, “It was extremely useful to have the opportunity to meet and mix with fellow business people who seemed to have similar business questions and issues. It allowed me to reflect on personal and business weaknesses.”

The time Matt spent on Growth Catalyst allowed him to understand and identify how he was going to leverage 20 years of spice knowledge to reinvent the brand and as a result ‘The Spice Pioneer’ was created.  ‘The Spice Pioneer’ is a new business model that aims to introduce the Seasoned Pioneers products to a wider audience by offering a subscription service.  This membership subscription helps to demystify how to understand flavours and demonstrates how easy it is to transform a meal using herbs and spices.   For more information visit the Spice Pioneer website.
