LivWiSE 'Commended' at Celebrating Success Awards

Last night LivWiSE was 'Commended' for its work to promote and celebrate women in STEMM at the University of Liverpool's annual Celebrating Success Awards.

The Celebrating Success Awards are the University's staff awards recognising excellence in research, innovation and leadership. LivWiSE was shortlisted in the 'Good Practice in Equality' categoty for the success of its public lecture programme, social engagement activities, and the production of 5 women in science and engineering promotional films.

Dr Kate Black, Chair of LivWiSE said "LivWiSE was only established in 2013 so it is great that we have been recognised for our work and contribution to the University in such a short time".

The category winner was the Facilities Management and Residential Team for their work on providing accessible accommodaiton for students with disabilities.
