Shared Mailbox or Resource Calendar

A shared mailbox includes an inbox, calendar, and contacts that multiple staff can access. It has the features of a standard mailbox but does not have its own username and password. Each user is granted permission to access the mailbox using their own individual University computing account.

A resource calendar provides a calendar that can be used to book time in a room or time to use a piece of equipment. It is only a calendar, not a full mailbox. Bookings can be accepted automatically or staff can be given access to manage the booking requests. A resource calendar does not have its own username and password. The member of staff, who manage the calendar, access it using their own individual University computing account.
