Tax Changes 2016

The amount of pension savings that can benefit from tax relief is restricted by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) in two ways, the Annual Allowance and the Lifetime Allowance.

From 6 April 2016, the Lifetime Allowance is being reduced and there are also changes to the Annual Allowance for people who earn over £110,000.

The information provided on this page is intended as a general overview of the issues and options surrounding the Annual Allowance and the Lifetime Allowance. If you think you will be effected by the Annual Allowance or the Lifetime Allowance, you should seek independent financial advice.
