Geographic data science for urban analytics workshop in Japan
We have been running a workshop this past week at Ritsumeikan University (Kyoto, Japan) covering the basics of Geographic Data Science and Urban Analytics. The final day has included the presentation of independent student projects and covered a range of different application areas. This has been another useful illustration of code based teaching of Geographic Data Science to new users of R, and has also been a helpful road test for some supporting materials related to a forthcoming Urban Analytics book we have been working on.
