As Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour heads to Liverpool for three sold-out shows at Anfield Stadium, the city is transforming into Taylor Town.

On the eve of her highly anticipated performances, we're hosting 'Tay Day', a series of interactive talks dedicated to the Shake It Off singer.

Our free event brings together academics, students, fans and critics alike. Attendees will discuss the Eras Tour and what it means to be a Swiftie.

From writing a Taylor Swift musical to karaoke essays set to her songs, the day will include a series of interactive talks in our Brett Lecture Theatre. Sessions will cover everything from the pop star's vinyl releases to the Taylor Swift millipede. We'll also assess her feminist evolution and examine her place in the LGBTQ+ community.

The symposium is one of a variety of events taking place across Liverpool, as one of the world's most famous musical cities embraces a music icon and cultural phenomenon.
