This concert showcases the rich and subtle interplay of words and music with performances of lieder by Liszt, a pastiche French mélodie by Liverpool composer Robin Hartwell, and a rare performance of the song cycle Etudes latines by the Venezuelan-born, naturalized French composer Reynaldo Hahn. The glorious voice of Barabara Ruzsics working for the first time here with Hein Boterberg from the International Opera Academy in Ghent are joined in the Hahn by the University Chamber Choir directed by Anne Demougin.
