Science of Climate Change Briefing
The Research Centre and the National Oceanography Centre hosted a Science of Climate Change Briefing on Thursday 10th February 2011. Presentations were given by Professor Andrew Willmott, Professor Ric Williams, Professor Matthew Baylis, Professor Philip Woodworth MBE and Professor Tim Greenshaw. Professor Jon Saunders, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Liverpool, chaired a session with Professor Sir David King, Chancellor, University of Liverpool, Director of the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and the former UK Government's Chief Scientific Advisor and Head of the Government Office of Science from 2000–07 and there was a presentation given by Lawrence McGinty, Health and Science Editor ITN News.
