If you’re exploring your career options or simply curious about what different jobs actually involve, Springpod can help. Springpod offers interactive virtual work experience programmes designed with real employers, giving you the chance to experience day-to-day tasks, build skills and get a clearer sense of where your strengths might lie.
University of Liverpool students and graduates can access these virtual internships through Handshake. The next round of experiences will be open for applications soon, so look out for updates from the Careers team and sign-up to Liverpool Launchpad to be the first to hear when the opportunities go live.
Once accepted, you’ll unlock 20 career simulations covering a wide range of professions, including: Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Visualisation Specialist, Business Strategist, Process Improvement Specialist, Accountant, Investment Manager, Cloud Architect, Counsellor, Graphic Designer, Mental and Behavioural Health Specialist, Aerospace Engineer, Legal Support Assistant, Journalist, Paramedic, Nurse, GP, Clinical Research Practitioner, Civil and Architectural Engineer and Pharmacologist.
Each simulation takes around 3–6 hours, and you can complete them whenever and wherever works best for you.

What our students say
Alongside the 20 virtual work experience simulations, we also offered students the chance to undertake a Springpod Micro-Internship with Accenture in Autumn 2025. More than 200 University of Liverpool students stepped into the world of AI consulting and learned the foundations of consulting and how AI drives innovation, before tackling a real client brief. Using research, creativity, and AI tools, they developed a professional proposal and delivered a polished report and presentation showcasing their consulting potential. This is what they said about the experience:
