I Got Hired: Tatum
Posted on: 25 November 2025 by Richard Finch in Class of 2024
Tatum is a Class of 2024 Psychology gradaute who now works at Tradewind Recruitment Ltd as a Secondary Recruitment Co-ordinator.
How did you hear about your role?
I worked as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant one day a week whilst I was in university, the same agency that I worked for then asked me to join them as a recruiter. After a long interview process, I was offered a job on the secondary team, and I’ve been there ever since!
How did you get where you are now?
I loved the flexibility of Tradewind when I worked for them whilst at university, and everyone I spoke to from the company was so lovely. When they asked me to recruit for them it felt like a natural progression as I already loved the company and what they offered.
Your favourite experience as part of your current role?
Getting people into work and in a role or school they love is so rewarding. I get to interview so many interesting people and no two days are the same.
The most challenging part of your graduate journey?
I only started the job in January 2025, so the period from graduating in July 2024 to starting the role was challenging, lots of interviews and job rejections and not knowing if I’d ever find something was tough.
What's your #1 piece of advice for future grads?
Speak to everyone! Networking can take you so far!
