How did you hear about your role?

I found out about this opportunity through conducting my own online research and discussions with industry contacts.

How did you get to where you are now?

The entirety of my career trajectory so far could be attributed to good networking.

I probably sent several thousand cold messages on LinkedIn before I even arrived in Australia. Most didn't get a reply, but many did. It only took one person to believe in me and ask me to attend an interview, which landed me my first mining job. Everything thereafter proliferated from that starting point.

Your favourite experience as part of your current role?

Either sitting in an 800 tonne digger spotting out gold ore, or pushing the big red button to set off a blast!

The most challenging part of your graduate journey?

Establishing myself alone in a new country whilst trying to find a job without any experience was definitely a challenge.

What's your #1 piece of advice for future grads?

Network, network, network!

Graduate Outcomes Survey

The Graduate Outcomes survey exists to improve the experience of future students. All graduates are asked to share their perspectives 15 months after they finish their course, to build a national picture that UK universities and colleges use to innovate their services. League tables, Prospects and The Complete University Guide use our Graduate Outcomes data to help students make decisions about their future.
