Congratulations to University of Liverpool graduate Dr Esraa Radi Tarawneh, who has been awarded the British Council Jordan Study UK Alumni Award for Science and Sustainability.

The Study UK Alumni Awards celebrate the achievements of international students who have studied in the UK and gone on to achieve great things.

Dr Esraa Tarawneh is now working as an Assistant Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Mutah University, Jordan. She has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s in Water and Environmental Engineering, both from Mutah University and PhD in Water and Environmental Engineering from the University of Liverpool in 2017.

Award winners and finalists are leaders in their fields who have used their experience of studying at a UK university to make a positive contribution to their communities, professions and countries. The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of alumni and showcase the impact and value of a UK higher education.

And the competition isn’t over yet, there will be a global winner to be announced later in the year – so good luck and best wishes to Dr Tarawneh!
