Progressing to Postgrad: Rahim

Rahim Khalil is a Class of 2022 BA Law and Ancient History graduate who works as an Admissions Officer while studying at the University of Law.

I’m studying towards The University of Law’s Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) course that helps graduates develop practical legal skills, and taking the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) qualification.

I am currently working at a local college as an Admissions Officer alongside my studies, and I heard about the vacancy through a family friend.

To get this far I feel I’ve had a good mentality, and I always look for the positives and enjoy what I’m doing, and it really helps to go far.

Coming back to Liverpool every now and again and hanging out with uni friends has been especially enjoyable for me.

A challenge as a graduate has been gaining relevant work experience that can help in a future graduate role. However, I slowly overcoming this by making my name more known and getting involved in pro-bono opportunities.
