My Part-Time Experience: Prachi

Prachi Kadam is a MSc Computer Science student at the University of Liverpool who has balanced her studies with working part-time. We recently caught up with her to hear about her job at Liverpool Football Club and what she gained from the experience.

“As I prepare to wrap up my part-time role at Liverpool Football Club, I find myself reflecting on what this job has meant to me, not just as a student or employee, but as a person starting a new life in the UK.

It was a stepping stone that taught me more than I could have imagined! These are just some of the skills I developed throughout this journey :

🏆Adaptability – From adjusting to high-paced matchday shifts to working with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

🏆Teamwork & Communication – Supporting large crowds requires clear, respectful, and fast communication. I learned how to collaborate even under pressure.

🏆Time Management – Balancing university coursework with part-time work was a challenge, but it taught me how to manage priorities effectively.

🏆Professionalism and Work Ethic – Representing one of the most prestigious clubs in the world meant always bringing my best, no matter how big or small the task.

One of the highlights of my time here was attending the Premier League Trophy Viewing Event—a surreal and proud moment that I’ll carry with me always. This event reminded me of the corporate events I attended back in India. It made me feel connected again to that sense of belonging and professional excitement. Thank you, LFC, for being a part of my journey.”
