My Internship Experience: Amelie
Posted on: 4 September 2025 by Richard Finch in Student experiences

Amelie Duncalf, a Civil Engineering student at the University of Liverpool, recently completed a summer internship with Casey. We caught up with her to hear about her experience.
“As I finish my 8-week internship with Casey I’m grateful for the chance to learn and grow while working across three sites: Bowlee Community Primary, Broadfield Slopes in Rochdale, and Ashton Market.
This experience has given me much more than technical knowledge — I’ve seen how teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability are essential on site, and I’ve had the chance to put classroom learning into practice in real projects that make a difference in local communities.
A huge thank you to the team at Casey for their support and guidance throughout my placement.
Now I’m heading back to university with new skills, confidence, and insights that will shape how I approach the rest of my studies and future career in civil engineering.
I look forward to keeping in touch and following the exciting projects that Casey deliver in the future.”
