Lead Liverpool 2026: The Liverpool City Region’s Graduate and Emerging Professionals Conference

Next April, the University of Liverpool and Professional Liverpool in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, will bring together the region’s graduates, students, emerging professionals, and employers shaping the future of skills and workforce development for a landmark new event: Lead Liverpool 2026.

Created to bridge the gap between graduates, early-career professionals, and the skills employers are looking for, Lead Liverpool provides a dedicated space for the region’s early-career talent to connect, upskill, and build confidence in a rapidly changing world of work. 

Led by the University of Liverpool, in partnership with Professional Liverpool, and supported by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, this flagship event will unite early-career talent, business leaders, and civic partners who share a commitment to making the Liverpool City Region a place to thrive, lead, and build lasting careers.  The conference will be officially opened by the Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, underscoring the shared commitment across civic and business communities to supporting the region’s future workforce.

Lead Liverpool 2026 is designed for graduates and professionals in the early stages of their careers who want to build confidence, expand their networks, and develop the skills to succeed.  Delegates will spend the day surrounded by inspiring speakers, honest employer insight, and practical workshops focused on real-world career growth and the transition from education to employment.

 Eligibility 

Lead Liverpool 2026 is open to: 

  • Recent graduates working in professional or graduate-level roles within the Liverpool City Region (from any university). 
  • Early-career professionals (typically within the first five years of employment). 
  • Employers who wish to register early-career employees to support their professional development.
