Liverpool has been selected to host the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2023 on behalf of Ukraine! You’re invited to register to take part in the Big Global Sustainability Challenge, which for 2023, will run in partnership with Culture Liverpool - the local organisation responsible for running Liverpool's Eurovision 2023.
The Challenge:
You will join students from across the University of Liverpool and Berlin School of Law and Economics to work in cross-university, inter-disciplinary teams to develop ideas into potential solutions to a sustainability challenge aligned to Eurovision 2023, set by Culture Liverpool. By the end of the challenge, each team will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, with shortlisted teams having the opportunity to pitch directly to organisations involved in Eurovision 2023, with prizes up for grabs!
The Challenge will take place at venues across Liverpool from Monday 17th – Tuesday 18th April 2023. No prior business knowledge or experience in enterprise activity is required. Working as part of a cross-university team, you will undertake activities to develop your understanding of sustainability issues and will be introduced to key concepts of entrepreneurial activity, including design thinking, techniques for idea generation and business modeling, and responsible innovation. You will receive ongoing support from the delivery team and will also receive guidance and advice on your proposed solution from an employer partner during the challenge before you develop your pitch.
The challenge will culminate in a showcase event where selected finalists will pitch their ideas to a panel followed by the opportunity for all students and supporting employers and partners to network and celebrate all things Eurovision!
