Research on interactive performance for musicians with a hearing impairment using vibrotactile stimuli has been shortlisted for ‘Research Project of the Year’ in the 2013 Times Higher Education Awards (http://www.the-awards.co.uk/the2013/shortlist).

The AHRC-funded project involved collaborative research between the ARU and the Royal Northern College of Music. The ARU team comprised Dr Carl Hopkins (Principal Investigator) with Dr Gary Seiffert (Senior Research Fellow) and Mr Saúl Maté-Cid (PGRA). The winner will be announced on 28 November 2013 at the THE awards event in London.
