Steve Sharples awarded Napier Shaw Bronze Medal by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers

Professor Steve Sharples and his co-authors have been awarded the Napier Shaw Bronze medal by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). The medal is presented for the most highly rated research paper published in the international journal Building Services Engineering Research & Technology in the year relating to the research. The winning paper (‘The natural ventilation performance of buildings under alternative future weather projections’) describes work undertaken as part of an EPSRC-funded project COPSE: Coincident Probabilistic Climate Change Weather Data For A Sustainable Built Environment. Professor Steve Sharples (right) and his former PhD student Dr Mike Barclay (left) received their medals from the CIBSE President, George Adams, at the President’s Award Dinner, that was held in London on 11th October 2013.
