Liverpool Responds: The New Norm

(Catch-up)

With Schools scheduled to reopen in September, this episode of Liverpool Responds focuses on the effect this, the biggest change to our restrictions yet, will have on children and society as a whole.

Chaired by Professor Calum Semple, a global leader of research in children’s health and outbreak medicine at the University of Liverpool and a consultant respiratory paediatrician at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.

Professor Semple is joined by guest panellists from the University of Liverpool and the city region to discuss the threat this change will pose on society and the fight against repeat waves of Coronavirus. Professor Semple will refer to his expertise and guests panellists to also debate the potential psychological effect the return to school will have on children, next steps in terms of what the new norm for society should/will look like, and how the new norm should be implemented and managed effectively to prevent or lessen the likelihood of a rise in the pandemic.
