Welcome week

Welcome week is the week before formal teaching starts and is open to all first years and supported by students from other years. We have a fun packed week where you can meet your fellow students, peer supporters, academic advisors and other staff in the vet school, pick up kit and freebies. You can also get engaged with the University Welcome week activities (more fun and more freebies). So don’t forget to include Welcome week in your plans to study at the University of Liverpool!

Welcome from the Dean of School

Professor Paul Lunn

On behalf of the School of Veterinary Science, I am delighted to welcome you as a new student. The school is a community of scholars working across more than a dozen subject areas, and we are sure you will benefit from the breadth and vitality that is possible in a school of this size, with world-class teaching and in-depth specialist expertise available to you.

The Welcome webpages will help you in your first few days at the University. They contain important information about the schedule for Welcome Week, and also tell you how to contact the Student Support Centre if you have any questions. Please do not worry if it seems a lot to take in. We will work hard during Welcome Week and in the first semester to make your transition to university life as smooth as possible.

Professor Paul Lunn, Dean of the School of Veterinary Science
