Collecting your Student BRP from a local Post Office

Check your visa confirmation letter or log into your visa application account online to see where you must collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) from and what date it will be ready.

You can collect your BRP yourself at a time that is convenient to you, alternatively “Ask Me - Student Visa guides” will be leading walking groups to the city centre post offices for those who would like to join a walking group.

For details of the walking groups and how to book see the My Liverpool app.

Collecting your BRP if you are under 18 years old

If you are in the UK with your parents then your parents can collect your BRP for you.

If your parents are not in the UK with you then you should nominate a responsible adult / guardian to collect this for you. You can nominate a responsible adult by clicking here

If you cannot nominate a guardian then the University may be able to collect your BRP on your behalf for you. Please email u18enq@liverpool.ac.uk to let us know if you would like the University to collect your BRP for you.

Collecting your BRP if you are 18 or over

If you are required to quarantine for 10 days you must complete your quarantine period before going to the Post Office in person to collect your BRP.

When collecting your BRP, wear a face covering and take your passport, with stamped travel vignette and your visa confirmation letter with you. You will also be asked for your address so please have your full address with you. Your visa confirmation letter will explain which post office to collect your BRP from.

If your Visa confirmation letter confirms collection from The University of Liverpool please email a photo of your biometric letter confirming University collection to visa.collection@liverpool.ac.uk. You will then receive a reply with further instructions.

If you do not have your decision letter or cannot log into your account online you might be able to collect it from one of the following Post Offices.
