Practice Standards Scheme (PSS)

The University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital is an RCVS-accredited hospital under the Practice Standards Scheme. To attain this accreditation, we must have periodic assessments of all areas of our activities to ensure we are compliant with the standards expected of any RCVS-accredited veterinary practice or hospital.

The Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) is an initiative aimed at promoting and maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care. Any RCVS-accredited practice will undertake these periodic assessments, carried out by a team of PSS assessors who are independent veterinary professionals, to ensure they are maintaining high standards in all activities undertaken at the practice and are compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Further details and information about the scheme are available on the RCVS website.
