Preventing PTSD

Preventing post-traumatic stress after workplace trauma.

During the Ukraine conflict, staff are facing unprecedented pressures, distressing situations in the context of worry for their own families and themselves.

Unsurprisingly, some of these situations will be traumatic and they place staff at risk of post-traumatic stress disorder.

We can protect ourselves psychologically and reduce this risk through understanding trauma, normal responses and how to facilitate our own processing of difficult material and when and where to seek help. Please take advantage of the advice about how to recognise and manage PTSD in the videos below
