About me
I completed my chemistry diploma in 2008 at the University of Karlsruhe and started a PhD in a research group which has its main focus in fundamental ion chemistry in gas-phase. My research there was mainly related in how the geometrical structure of biological compounds can influence their electronic property or structure. That work was performed using an instrument which combines the techniques ion mobility spectrometry, mass spectrometry and photoelectron spectroscopy.

After spending many years of research in fundament physical chemistry, I decided to broaden my professional horizon and joined the CPR. My current work is dedicated to intact protein analysis with special regards to phosphosite determination by top down sequencing in combination with structural analysis by ion mobility spectrometry.
