ProteoMMX 2.0
Duncan, chromatographer, mass spectrometrist, pescatorean, muso, ragtop-driver,

The STORY behind the man…

Duncan Robertson started working with Rob a long, long, time ago, in a laboratory far away (Lab 103, old Biochemistry department, Liverpool). He moved with Rob in 1993 to UMIST, taking on the role of Experimental Officer, and then came back to Liverpool in 2000, when Rob moved back to Liverpool.

He successfully navigated us across Brownlow Hill in the '
Big Move' and installed us in our new, wonderful labs.

Now he moves on to pastures new, swapping ITRAQ for IPAD, swapping protein models for financial models, swapping 'interesting problems' for 'interesting problems with attitude'.

We send him on his way, leaner, meaner, and ready for the world of professional services!

Duncan, there is a large group of individuals who owe their introduction to the world of protein mass spectrometry to you. They are your intellectual offspring, some grown up (some less so), but they all recognise and appreciate their debt to you.

Enjoy your new role, and remember, our door is always open!

Your friends in PFG

The leaving 'do'
Thanks to:
  • The Side Door (ace food!)
  • Lynn, for organising a great evening
  • Everyone, for coming along and having fun
  • Duncan (for agreeing to come and sort the BioLC - hehheh)

The RESEARCH.

(sung to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies- if you don't know it, you missed out on the high point of the mid sixties! )

Urine, that is,
Behaviour Gold…
Semiochemical tea…

Now the next thing you know, 'ole Dunc's a busy bee
Purifying MUPs by chromatography
Attended a meeting about the role of MUPs in life
Came back with a collaborator and for Rob - a future wife!
