Teaching
Chris teaches Health Data Science and Epidemiology across the MSc and MPH programmes at the Institute of Population Health. He leads the module Using Routine Data for Public Health (DASC503) and contributes to Actionable Healthcare Data Analytics (DASC505) in the Data Science and Analytics for Health MSc, to which he also contributes as a founding faculty member, having designed curriculum and materials for 2 core modules. He additionally contributes to Introduction to Health Data Science (DASC501) and serves on the curriculum board for both the MSc and MPH programmes.
Chris is Deputy Lead for the Public, Preventive & Global Health Theme in the Medical School, coordinating over 150 hours of teaching across three years of the programme. He currently supervises four PhD students and regularly supervises MSc and MPH dissertations. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and serves as Disability & Dyslexia Coordinator for postgraduate researchers in his Institute.
