The Entrepreneurs' Monthly Meet-up is a University HEIF-funded initiative run by the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship in collaboration with six colleges and universities in the Liverpool City Region. Its aim is to connect entrepreneurial students and graduates and expose individuals to the very best independent businesses in the city.

The Entrepreneurs’ Monthly Meet-up runs eight times across the academic year (October-May) with the December one being a Festive Special hosted in Frederiks on Hope Street!

The December Entrepreneurs Monthly Meet-up ran 5-7pm on Thursday 15 December; the penultimate day before students broke up for the festive break. This month’s meet-up focused on nightlife as students and graduates were treated to a talk from one of the family members that run Fredericks as well as a group of other independent venues across Liverpool city centre like Café Tabac and Baa Bar.

Participants also enjoyed networking with one another while tucking into festive food and refreshments; all while Christmas classics played in the background.

Attendees were also encouraged to all turn up in Christmas jumpers to join in the festive spirit with one individual even turning-up dressed as Santa Claus! Those individuals who dressed up in festive apparel were entered into a Christmas prize draw to win treats including a box of clementines, chocolate-covered Brazil nuts, shortbread, a panettone, and Christmas Pudding.

The January Entrepreneurs Monthly Meet-up is going to inspire individuals around manufacturing and tech being held in the Liverpool Science Park on Thursday 26 January from 5-7pm.
