University of Liverpool Management School Employability Week

Published on

University of Liverpool Management School Employability Week was a joint initiative between HSS Careers and Employability and the ULMS Employability team which took place during w/c Monday 7 February.

Sessions included ‘Get Hired’ where we were joined by a panel of alumni and final year returning placement students who were on hand to share their insights into how they got their roles, what opportunities they took whilst at university and more.

Another popular event included ‘What can I do with my degree?’ where another panel of recent alumni gave insights into how they chose their career path, what challenges they have faced, and what the future holds for them.

For another event ‘The world of work now’, we invited a panel of current placement students to share their experiences and give advice on applying for placements, dealing with rejection, and what this experience has taught them.

We also had a session looking at alternative career paths and were joined by employers from organisations including Kellogg, TeachFirst and NHS Leadership Academy, as well as a session on entrepreneurship with Lib Golding and 3 student entrepreneurs. Finally, we closed the week with a series of online sessions, hosted by our Digital Coaches.
