NPW Live 2021

The Management School is supporting Northern Power Women (NPW) in its celebrations for International Women’s Day on Monday 8 March.

NPWLive is a half day online event that aims to amplify voices and support emerging talent.  It will also create a directory of bitesize video content offering insight and inspiration across the backdrop of the IWD theme, Choose to Challenge.

As part of the agenda for the event, NPW has organised a Carousel Mentoring event designed specifically for University students.  This mentoring session will help students in making career choices by providing direct access to advice and guidance from cross-sector industry professionals.

There is also a similar session for those who have recently graduated and are in their early career.  The Carousel Networking event will provide an opportunity to make new connections and build confidence by networking with industry professionals.

Professor Liz Parsons, Athena SWAN Academic Lead, said “This event really addresses a current need - it will be a great opportunity for students and recent graduates to make new connections and build their confidence.”

Students who wish to get involved should contact ULMS Extra: extra@liverpool.ac.uk.

Recent graduates who would like to take part in the Carousel Networking event can register online.

Following on from the mentoring and networking session, NPWLive will also include live talks and keynote discussion on the event’s themes of Choose, Challenge or Change.
