Virtual ULMS Extra sessions

The Management School's ULMS Extra programme gives undergraduate students access to a range of extra-curricular events and activities.

Due to campus restrictions this year’s activities have taken place online, however, students have still benefited from insightful sessions focusing on a range of topics including; post-study goals, practical business skills, reaching personal goals and enhancing academic skills.

Students have found the sessions useful with feedback including:

“I think the ULMS Extra events are great and just as useful as my academic learning in some senses.  I've enjoyed learning about industries I'm interested in from professionals, I think it really helps build your commercial awareness. I've also found that taking part in the extra sessions has become a lot easier now it's all online”

Morgan Roberts, BA International Business with Year in Industry

“I participated in a range of events hosted last semester. There were some great sessions and opportunities to connect with employees from a number of companies, enhancing my commercial awareness. It was also inspiring to hear previous graduates’ stories regarding their employment journey and experience. Overall, these sessions were helpful and I would definitely recommend other students to get involved.”

Courtney Ware, BA Business Management with Year in Industry.

Last semester I attended a few ULMS extra events that I thought they were very informative and useful.

"I particularly enjoyed the MHA Moore and Smalley event as it allowed me to gain information on a smaller accounting firm. This was really useful as when I was applying I felt confident that I had lots of up to date knowledge that I could use to try and make myself stand out in the application process. I would definitely recommend this session to other students"

Emma Massingham, BA Accounting and Finance with Year in Industry
