NSS 2020

The latest National Student Survey (NSS) results demonstrate that overall student satisfaction within the Management School is high in comparison to other Russell Group peers.

In addition, the School has received “above sector average” satisfaction levels in many of the more detailed NSS questions.

The NSS is commissioned annually by the Office for Students.  It gathers feedback from final year undergraduate students which is used to enhance the student learning experience and to help inform prospective students’ choices.

When asked about overall satisfaction with their programme, students rated the various subject areas in the School very positively and overall satisfaction levels compared to Russell Group peers are;

Accounting & Finance: 2nd in Russell Group
Business: 6th in Russell Group (up 3 places from 2019)
Economics: 7th in Russell Group (up 5 places from 2019)

Professor Claire Mallanaphy, Director of Student Experience at the Management School, said “We are delighted that our students were happy with their experience whilst studying at ULMS and chose to reflect this in the National Student Survey.  To achieve such fantastic results such as top 10 in the UK for Overall Satisfaction in Accounting, or the top 3 for questions on the Student Voice in Marketing is really quite an achievement."

"Many thanks to ULMS colleagues who have worked tirelessly throughout the year, but especially so in the last few months, to ensure the student experience has been an excellent one at all times.  We really do value our students as partners and we’re all delighted to see such wonderful results.”
