Students from the MSC Operations and Supply Chain Management programme recently visited the Aintree production facility of Pladis, one of the world’s leading snacking companies with brands such as Jacob’s, McVitie’s and Carr’s.

During the visit, students were able to see first-hand a production line in operation and learn more about supply chain, operational efficiency and technology.

Attendees commented that they had enjoyed the visit, had learned a lot and that it had been a valuable addition to their studies.

Dr Dongping Song, Director of Studies for the programme, commented, “I would like to thank the staff at Pladis for hosting our site visits and for their hospitality.  The students have learnt some practices about how a food manufacturer manages their operations, logistics and human resources.”
