The Management School’s MBA cohort has participated in a number of sessions as part of the MBA Catalyst programme.

The Catalyst programme encompasses the co- and extra-curricular activities offered to MBA candidates to help them transform beyond the formal learning.  The main areas include; Catalyst Careers, Catalyst Immersion, Catalyst Masterclasses and Catalyst Mentoring.

Mike Ross, co-founder of Vocaprep and ex-McKinsey employee, delivered a Catalyst Careers session on design thinking.  Mike has worked with many top business schools and during his talk, gave insight into how design thinking can be used as a way to solve problems and overcome obstacles in the career journey.

Louise Mustchin, MBA Careers Advisor, said “Mike Ross delivered a highly engaging and interactive session on strategic thinking, strategic communication and design thinking.

Developing new ways to think and approach career planning is crucial to future proofing your career, succeeding in interviews and the competitive MBA job market generally.

I definitely learnt some fantastic new ways to approach problems. We are already planning to have Mike back next year!”

Student feedback was very positive with comments including;
