The Management School, in partnership with British Academy of ManagementNARTI and Society for the Advancement of Management Studies, delivered two ECR and PGR development workshops on Tuesday 21 and Thursday 23 May.

The sessions were aimed at Postgraduate and Early Career researchers from across UK universities who are interested or involved in the broad area of work-life research.

Two renowned US scholars in this field, Professor Gary Powell and Professor Jeff Greenhaus, featured as guest speakers along with Dr Laura Radcliffe, Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour, and Professor Caroline Gatrell, Associate Dean Research, both from the Management School.

During the workshops, the talks explored some of the issues around researching the work-family relationship and discussed some of the methodological tools available beyond the traditional methods.  There was also an opportunity for attendees to network and ask questions about their own research projects.
